How teachers design courses

This page will have a very brief intro to Backward Course Design and Bloom’s taxonomy so that you can understand the structure of a course. This might help you understand why the course instructor designed a course in a specific way, which enables you to be more effective at guiding your peers as they move through the course.

  • How can you help your peers become self-regulated learning? This resource has some suggestions.
  • What time management skills have served you well at IU?
  • What general tips can you give your peers for learning and remembering the course content? Think of several ways to explain difficult concepts to your peers.
