17 Compulink Best Practices – Anterior Segment Tab

Jeffrey D. Perotti, M.S., O.D.

In general, record pertinent positive and negative findings on this page. After you have recorded the pertinent positive and negative findings (in the box that corresponds to the appropriate anatomical location; i.e., don’t record corneal epithelial findings in the corneal endothelium box, etc.), right-click on the grey area in the middle of the screen, and select “Assign Normal Values” to assign “Normal” to any part of the examination that you have not assigned values to already. If you have not checked lymph nodes, delete the “Normal” finding and/or replace it with “Not performed”.

If there is no logical place to record your findings on this tab (or any other tab for that matter), or you don’t have enough room in the appropriate field to record your results, use the notes section to record your findings.

IOP: Record your IOP measurements in this grid. Include OD and OS measurements, and select the type of measurement performed. Left-click in the Notes field to record the type of drops instilled

Dilation: If you dilate the patient, record the drops you used and the time you dilated in the upper left corner of the screen.
