19 Compulink Best Practices – Posterior Segment Tab
Jeffrey D. Perotti, M.S., O.D.
Lens: Use the pulldown menu to document cataract findings.
Hovering over the label “Size/Ratio” will display a table of historical cup-to-disc ratios for the patient.
Periphery: Record “NOT ASSESSED” in this field if you perform an undilated fundus examination.
Record the examination technique you used on the left side of the screen by clicking on the lenses used (both by you and your consultant).
Record pertinent positive and negative findings in the anatomically appropriate field on this page. After you have recorded pertinent positive and negative findings, right-click on the grey area in the middle of the screen, and select “Assign Normal Values” to assign “Normal” to any part of the examination that you have not assigned values to already.
If there is no logical place to record your findings on this tab (or any other tab for that matter), or you don’t have enough room in the appropriate field to record your results, use the notes section to record your findings.
