You can afford an IU degree

Start with tuition that’s 20% less than the national average. Add in generous financial aid and the savings that come with staying close to home. The result is the IU degree you’ve always wanted—at a much more affordable cost.

Get the most from your tuition dollars

Tuition at IU East is less than $8,000 a year. That makes us one of the most affordable universities in the state—and an excellent value no matter how you look at it.

Even better, we offer flat rate tuition.

That means you can take as many as 18 credit hours each semester for the same low cost. Make your academic plans based on what works best for you and your career goals—not your wallet.

Maximize your financial aid

We promise to make the financial aid process bite-sized and easy to accomplish with our help every step of the way. We’ll start by being on call to assist with the FAFSA, explain your scholarship eligibility, and—if you need them—help understanding student loans.

Take advantage of 50+ scholarships

You’ll automatically be considered for admissions-based scholarships when you submit a complete application with all required supporting materials by February 15th of your senior year.

Eligibility is based on your high school GPA and SAT or ACT scores.

From there, we’ll let you know if you’re eligible for a merit scholarship which may require a separate application.

Scholarships include:

  • IU’s prestigious Herbert Presidential Scholarship, worth $24,000
  • Merit-based scholarships worth up to $20,000
  • Dozens more based on academics, service, and leadership

To maximize your eligibility, apply for admission as early as possible.
