Nuclear Medicine Technology students are advised that they have, in a sense, entered a totally “new world” upon entering a professional program.  While undergraduate college classes can be ordered with very regular hours, this is difficult to attain in busy clinical facilities.  Most of the NM faculty are clinical personnel and have many other responsibilities, primarily to the patient.  Thus, frequently patient care and clinical responsibilities must take precedence over teaching assignments.  Clinical faculty members will at times be tardy or have to re-schedule.  The student must develop a degree of understanding and patience with the realities of clinical medicine.

Assignments may be during times other than the published course time.  When this happens, ample notice will be given to the student.

Irregularly scheduled lectures will also occur when guest lectures visit the facilities.  Students will be notified in advance when class schedules change.

Instructors are under no obligation to offer make-up work or tests if a student misses them. However, if a student will miss an assignment or exam deadline, the student should contact the instructor prior to the missed deadline to discuss possible make-up procedures.
