ENABLING UNIVERSITY-WIDE STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

“Together, we have arrived at this pivotal moment, and our goal is nothing short of extraordinary impact—in students transformed, discoveries made, and communities strengthened. As we chart an aspirational path into IU’s third century, the leadership of our faculty, staff, and students—coupled with IU’s vast reach— will ensure that the outcomes of IU 2030 are truly felt worldwide, from Hoosier hometowns to communities across the globe.”

What is our aspiration?

ES will deliver technology solutions that enable and support the key strategic initiatives of Indiana University. We will collaborate directly with key stakeholders to ensure that successful outcomes are achieved. We will ensure that we deploy the necessary resources to achieve high-quality execution of these efforts while aligning our organization behind their success.

Why is this important?

Indiana University has crafted a bold collection of strategic plans designed to position our university for success and continual growth through the end of the current decade and beyond. Furthermore, the realignment of IUPUI to create the Indiana University Indianapolis campus supplements the strategic plans on that campus by creating more opportunities for students and for the state of Indiana. The Digital Strategy Initiative aligns with these efforts as well, enabling a more connected, personalized, and seamless experience for all Indiana University constituents.

Given the university-wide scope of our strategic objectives, ES must play a crucial role in making these objectives a reality. This has required us to point a critical lens toward how we evolve and construct our systems and solutions to achieve our collective goals. Technological change and adaptation are a must. Having close collaborations, built on trust, with the business units that have been charged with executing on our strategic plans will be a requirement for their success.

What are our concrete goals?

  • Implement Digital Strategy Initiative (DSI) recommendations.
  • Support the Vision 2030 Student Success and Opportunity pillar.
