10 Assignments and Assessments

Introduction

AI can act as a brainstorming partner to spark new ideas and revitalize our learning materials. Here at eDS, we can collaborate with AI to refresh course activities and integrate modern technology, keeping students engaged. This can be a great sounding board to actualize the vision you and your faculty-client partners have for your courses.

Here’s how!

Suggested Guidelines

  • Start with a Goal
    • Before using AI, clarify your intent. Do you want a complete overhaul or smaller alterations?
  • Iterate and Experiment
    • AI might present unexpected variations. Be prepared to explore different prompts and tweak your inputs.
  • Rely on Your Humanity
    • The AI may produce some really amazing ideas, templates, or other outputs. Remember that you are the expert in instructional design, and it’s up to you to impliment that output in a well-thought out way that ensures its accessibility and effectiveness.
