8 Learning environment: content options
Unizin contracts with technology vendors for consortium-wide service availability, allowing for lower costs, advocacy for member institutions, and access to valuable data necessary for research. Because the consortium also prioritizes affordable content options that preserve faculty choice, we’ve got quite a few content tools in our box. The activity below mentions the big ones.
Engage, digital courseware, and Pressbooks — oh my!
Choosing an affordable content option can be overwhelming. Through our Unizin membership we have access to Engage, a variety of digital courseware, and Pressbooks — just to name a few. You’ll learn more about the differences between these options at another station, but for now, let’s see which option you are!

Engage, AKA Unizin Engage, is the Unizin (and IU eTexts) standard ereader. Engage hosts standalone publisher etexts, open educational resources, and instructor-created content.
