After carefully considering your options, you’ve decided to adopt a digital learning tool! You think your course is due for a refresh, and you love the adaptive learning tools and immediate feedback available to your students when you use a DLT.
You take a look through the IU eTexts Catalog to find out which DLTs are available, and when you’ve made your decision, you make sure that the textbook ordering window is open. You’re in luck, so you head over to the Order Tool to place your order for the upcoming semester.
As the Order Tool reminds you before checking out how much your students will save, you feel great! You’ve done your part to make higher education more affordable, and you couldn’t be happier.
Order a digital learning tool (DLT)
1. Visit etexts.iu.eduopens in a new window and click Search Catalog to browse available DLTs.
2. When you’re ready to order, confirm that the textbook ordering window is open.
3. Visit etexts.iu.eduopens in a new window and click Order Tool. Select your class, select your DLT*, and check out.

Also known as "courseware". DLTs offer a range of options in addition to a digital version of a textbook, from problem sets and adaptive learning tools to games and simulations, and even video feedback tools. The following examples of digital learning tools are discounted at least 25% via the IU eTexts program: Pearson MyLabs & Mastering, McGraw-Hill Connect, Macmillan LaunchPad, Cengage MindTap, WileyPLUS.
The IU eTexts Catalog lists all materials currently available though the IU eTexts program. If the materials you're looking for aren't listed, you can still request them from the IU eTexts Order Tool. Both are available from etexts.iu.edu.
The textbook ordering window opens February 2 and September 2 for upcoming semesters. Textbooks, eTexts, and DLTs are ordered during this window to ensure that all charges associated with a course are listed in the schedule of classes before students start to enroll.
The Order Tool is open during textbook ordering windows for faculty and IU eTexts coordinators to select IU eTexts materials. The Order Tool is available from etexts.iu.edu.
