15 Communicable Diseases

Students offered conditional admission to the Radiologic & Imaging Sciences Programs are required to document compliance with immunizations by submitting Health Screen and Immunization report.  Immunizations must be updated and verified each year.  Students will not be able to continue clinical rotations without this information on file.

When exposed to a communicable disease, the student must abide by the hospital policies regarding continued patient contact during the incubation period for the disease. In addition, the IUI Student Health office provides health services to the Health Professions Programs (HPP) such as Radiography, who are exposed to infectious diseases.  Such diseases include but are not limited to; HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and tuberculosis.  These services are provided at the Student Health Office, located in Lockefield Village on the first floor. The address is 980 Indiana Ave.  There may be a charge for services.

Contact information is 317-274-8214 or https://studentaffairs.indianapolis.iu.edu . This information is also contained on the student’s OUCH card, which can be located in each Canvas Clinical Course.
