46 RISP Repeated Pattern of Poor Behavior

Any student who demonstrates poor behavior and shows no signs of corrective action within the same semester or consecutive semesters is considered to have established an excessive pattern of poor behavior.  Excessive patterns of poor behaviors are met with steeper penalties as explained below.

1st offense (occurs when a student receives two grade reductions for the same behavior within the same semester or consecutive semesters)

• Written warning sent to the student and placed in the student file
• Meeting with Clinical Coordinator
• The student will be required to complete a Performance Improvement Plan and submit the plan to the Clinical Coordinator
• The student may be recommended for clinical probation, which is at the discretion of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Program Director

2nd offense (occurs once a student has already been given penalties associated with a 1st offense but continues to demonstrate the same poor behavior) 

• Final written warning sent to the student and placed in the student file
• 2nd Meeting with Clinical Coordinator
• 1/3rd Grade reduction in addition to policy violation penalty
• The student may be recommended for clinical probation or program dismissal, which is at the discretion of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Program Director

There is no appeal mechanism for this type of policy violation
