49 Clinic Cash and Pride Nominations
Clinic Cash is a small card that looks similar to cash but can be used to earn perks in the IUI Radiography Program. Only clinical preceptors and the clinical coordinator will award clinic cash.
Like a technologist’s Pride Nomination, when CPs notice or observe students doing something above and beyond what is expected, they can choose to award a cash card. It may also be awarded when exemplary professionalism or attitude is witnessed. If the CPs catch a student showing random acts of kindness, this may also be rewarded with Clinic Cash.
Cash collected can be used in the same semester it is awarded and/or saved and accumulated, and used in different clinical semesters. The cash can be used to “buy” the items below. A maximum of three (3) cash cards can be used per semester to buy a bit extra “leisure or relaxation” time. See the list below for details.
CPs always write the student’s name on the back of the card, sign it, and date it when they give it out. Only that student may use the cash. Cash submitted without a student’s name on the back will not be accepted. Clinic Cash cannot be sold, traded, loaned out, or exchanged. It has no monetary value and expires when the student graduates. Cards that are lost or stolen cannot be replaced.
Use cash to buy a bit extra “leisure time” (MUST be scheduled with CP at least one hour before start of shift)
- 1 cash card for an hour’s lunch
- 1 cash card to leave the clinic an hour early.
- 1 cash card to arrive at the clinic an hour late.
Limitations:
- No more than three (3) cards can be used in one semester.
- Cash cannot be combined to increase the time away from the clinic.
- Cash cannot be used during 1st year modality observation days
- Cash cannot be used for Saturday shifts (Traditional Students Only) and/or ½ P-days.
- Cash cannot be used during clinical makeup days.
Pride Nominations
Pride Nominations can be given to any student who displays excellent behavior, which is considered beyond normal expectations. It is a great way to recognize the wonderful effort our students are putting into their learning environment.
Any staff technologist or manager wanting to recognize a student’s outstanding behavior can give Pride Nominations.
How To Enter A Pride Nomination
- Log into Trajecsys
- Click on the evaluations tab
- Go to the Pride Nomination Evaluation
- Complete and submit the form
