Getting Started with the Semester
Publish your Canvas course!
Once your Canvas site is set up, you need to publish it for students to be able to see it.
Note that students do not receive announcements or Canvas emails from sites that are not published so you must publish the site to communicate with your students via Canvas.
To publish your course, go to your course Home page and click the gray “Publish” button on the right side of the window. If you do not see the “Publish” button and your screen is narrow, your screen resolution is low, or your browser magnification is high, look down at the bottom of the window.
Once your course is published, the Course Status will show a green “Published” button.
